i didn't bring my DSLR camera with me because i'd be neglecting my darling for the whole trip ;-)
we're finally back home at my parents' home in palo alto. we've been relaxing here since we got back from europe last week.
i think for two or three days since we got back, we've been actually staying inside home all day!
today was pretty productive for us. we went to museum of art in san jose to check out one of susie's favorite artists, camille rose garcia's exhibition. her huge paintings really blew us out! we'd love to hang one of her pieces for our future home if we can afford her 5 figure price tag. afterwards, we went to check out anno domini gallery to see one of our new friends, cherri, and her travel story as she got back home from brazil last month. from there, she gave us a pair of nice shirt designed by bruno9li. the material of the tee is something unlike we've seen here in america and the color is pretty unique too! afterwards, suz hung out at mitsuwa supermarket as well as kinokuniya bookshop in saratoga while i went bouldering indoor in san jose.
afterwards, my dad wanted to check out a nice steakhouse, alexander's steakhouse, as he had read a glowing review about its american signature dishes filled with infusion of japanese flavor. heck, they even do serve kobe beef in its highest grade possible (a5) which is almost double the price you'd find in japan. boy, alexander's filet mignon was very kind and tender you'd find in a few restaurants. my mom was one satisfied customer as she can only chew down baby-quality food.
well, now back home and hitting the shower!
boo!
yeppers, still alive after going through 4 weeks barely!
we finally got ourselves into a hotel room that has a PC with fast internet so practically, we were hooked to internet for the whole night yesterday catching up *imitating sarah tullier* 2902384710390323048 emails....
anyway, just arrived in skopje, a capital that is filled with many blocks of old communist's style buildings.
we had a change of plans with our original itinerary as we didn't get to go to ukraine and moldova due to 'border' problem that we didn't want to go through again when we experienced one at poland-belarus border.
so instead, we'll be opting for a nice drive along coast of croatia real soon and hope to get bronzed...
until then, e-see you soon in a couple of weeks!
oh by the way, please DO include this city in your itinerary if you do plan to visit bulgaria... veliko tarnovo ... one of the most beautiful cities in the eastern europe!
here's a snapshot of us there:
