nice reflection...

as i was looking at my blog, i noticed that my archive was getting awfully long... and once 2007 hits, it's going to be my 5th year of blogging! i wonder if any of you have even started blogging back in 2002 at all? i think 2003-2004 were the years where mainstreaming peepos have finally caught up with blogging!

also, i notice that i didn't blog much during the year of 2006. it could be that my darling has been taking much of my free time which is a wonderful thing because i do enjoy being with my significant other very much.

also, when i was reading through my blogs in the years of 2003-2004, i find it hard to believe that i had accomplished so many things during that time compared to 2006 where i've been so busy with a few projects - home renovation, ooqboo, and web projects with NO international traveling (except for two brief trips to austria and japan, but they don't even count at all as they are too modernized for my taste...)

ok.. it's getting late and i ought to hit the sack now...

eastern sierra nevada fotolog

just got back home late last night...

thought i'd be taking many pictures of climbing subjects, but instead i found myself shooting a true ghost town, bodie, in eastern sierra nevada during a rest day from climbing... i'll let the pictures speak themselves... yes, i did get some chills while entering that town...

bishop again

susie and i are off to bishop, ca (directly east from san francisco) today for a nice long holiday week camping/climbing. hopefully, the natural environment there will ease our busy schedule and reflect our perspective on how we take a city life for granted. bishop scenario: roaming through the arid landscapes of huge boulders, dry bushes, sandy dirt, crispy clear air, and of course less human beings to encounter...

hope to post some pictures after we get back home!

happy t-bird-veggie-week!

to blog or not, that's the question...

ever since i started blogging back in may 2002 (4.5 years ago), it's quite amazing to see how many people started to blog afterwards... i'm at this point where i do feel obligated to continue to blog instead of writing whenever i'm free. i know that you readers do come and check my site occasionally to see what's up with me...

now, i'm thinking if i was to shut down my blog system here, i won't have the burden to tell everyone what i've done... but then simultaneously, i do feel like i want to share instead of getting behind with everyone.

as of lately, i haven't been able to read anyone's blog at all for the past few weeks. even though i do get online often, i just find myself being distant from the blogs. do i want to know what my friends are doing in their lives daily? how would that benefit me? what i'd love to see are the blogs about humanity, art, education, economy, and of course, travel. but obviously, i would get more stimulated if i met one about these issues instead of reading the blogs.

ok, enough of my blabs here.

(sorry, comments are still down... i'm a one-way communicator for now) but you can always page/e-mail me if you'd like to throw back something...)

david choe

just went to one of my fave artists', david choe's opening art reception at gallery ad in san jose last friday... he still hasn't lost his passion for drawling/painting... check his pieces out:

i was told that mr. choe won't be doing any art show anytime soon for a long time. it'll be interesting to see where he'll be doing next... probably try to get his comics to rock the world soon!
