insomnia...

almost 6 am here.

my mind's fluttering madly around as i'm juggling with multi-tasking on ooqboo.com business, web surfing, and pondering about the future.

this has been going like this for the past 2 weeks...

now i understand how starting a new business can be so frustrating and time-consuming yet i have to stay positive about the future!

ok. i've blurted out and i feel better. time to go to bed now!

pitching for a support...

remember my blog about my friend, ryan commerson, who once applied for a substitute teacher only to be turned down due to his deafness...

well, he has come up with another protest... starting a hunger protest for a list of demands related to deaf schools' administration.

check his progress out:

starving for access

hope one of his dreams finally reaches the true world.

stay strong, my friend.

why?

i notice that every year for the past few years, i do leave a blog to everyone to give a _happy thanksgiving_ greeting. while everyone uses this holiday as an excuse to spend wonderful moment back at their 'homes' i thought that i'd do something different that will probably spark a controversy about this holiday...

John Two-Hawks wrote:

'Thanksgiving' did not begin as a great loving relationship between the pilgrims and the Wampanoag, Pequot and Narragansett people. In fact, in October of 1621 when the pilgrim survivors of their first winter in Turtle Island sat down to share the first unofficial 'Thanksgiving' meal, the Indians who were there were not even invited! There was no turkey, squash, cranberry sauce or pumpkin pie. A few days before this alleged feast took place, a company of 'pilgrims' led by Miles Standish actively sought the head of a local Indian chief, and an 11 foot high wall was erected around the entire Plymouth settlement for the very purpose of keeping Indians out! Officially, the holiday we know as 'Thanksgiving' actually came into existence in the year 1637. Governor Winthrop of the Massachussetts Bay Colony proclaimed this first official day of Thanksgiving and feasting to celebrate the return of the colony's men who had arrived safely from what is now Mystic, Connecticut. They had gone there to participate in the massacre of over 700 Pequot men, women and children, and Mr. Winthrop decided to dedicate an official day of thanksgiving complete with a feast to 'give thanks' for their great 'victory'....

i know that many countries are usually biased when it comes to writing histories... so, it's quite hard to distinguish whether the history books are telling the facts or not...

nevertheless, aside from this 'so-called' political history, i, by america's history, abide you a happy thanksgiving! ;-)

spotted...

just got back home from whole foods market and guess who i saw there?

S-T-E-V-E J-O-B-S (for those of you who don't know him.. he's the APPLE ceo) along with his wife...

for years, i've known that he and his family live in my parents' hometown, but never got to see him around, and finally i see him shopping at whole foods here in palo alto... he dressed the same attire you see everywhere in the media... long sleeve shirt with his trusty jeans.

anyway, hope i'll get to push the shopping carts with him sometimes soon...

domestic life...

i think living in a suburbia has caused me to blog less as there isn't much of visual excitement going on here. even, my wife, is restless here as well so we can't wait to move to the city soon. our apartment's remodeling isn't even finished as my dad's men have been too busy to do some major plumbing in our bathroom. once they're done, we can finally move in and manage to worship our bathroom daily...

so, i apologize if you the readers have been coming to my blog often only to find the same old news over and over again...

no, i still have not finished in uploading wedding pictures... soon, soon, soon, i promise...

oh yeah, my parents have left for overseas today, so we're house-sitting my parents' house. PARTY THIS WEEKEND! wait... i'm not a high school kid anymore... as my wife likes to say to me often, "GROW UP!"... I can be a kid once in a while...
