two days ago, i went to check out the inner side of brooklyn and enjoyed the diverse streets that brooklyn has to offer. i went to flatbush ave in southern park slope where many negroes took over (from there i finally purchased a pair of basketball kicks) and decided to take advantage of public transportation throughout brooklyn. here are some selected images that i have taken along the way...

for the first time ever since i moved here, i finally get the chance to visit washington heights which is way up north on the west side as i was hoping to find many cheap basketball shoes there for myself. sithering through the strong hispanic crowd, i was able to find a few nice sneaker shops and i did find a few nice kicks on sale that weren't even on sale in the popular area of manhattan such as harlem or soho, but unfortunately, they did not have my size at all. so i'll have to do some serious hunting tomorrow in brooklyn as i got a pickup hoops game tomorrow. i have not played hoops since my chicago days and i hope that i can play ball like i used to back in my high school days. washington heights is a nice place to check out though it does remind me of spanish harlem so i can't say much about this neighborhood area. i am trying to visit many neighborhood areas as much as i can before i move out to california for good in the end of may. i hope to visit bronx zoo and brooklyn museum of art soon.
oh yeah, after washington heights, i stopped by at japanese new sneaker shop called atmos in harlem. it has an impressive collection of unique sneakers. heck, the shop is even BIGGER than its japanese shop in tokyo's harajuku. so, if you are up for a special sneaker for your friend or even yourself, try to check out atmos sometimes soon. don't be surprised if more hip, urban shops are starting to pop out in harlem soon...
last night i was watching a dvd movie, _supersize me_, and this is a good tip for everyone who kept asking me how in the hell do you keep yourself thin... just stay away from fast food spots. i have noticed myself that while growing up throughout my life, college times were the only times where i actually ate many junkies due to my strong needs for party life. looking at my college photo albums, i realize that i actually lost about 20 lbs since i graduated from college. also, in my 2 years here in nyc, i have been cooking mostly at home, thus cutting down my intake of saturated fats from other restaurants. so if you want to be like me, just try to dine out only few times a month instead of few times a week!
anyway, in the movie, it was interesting to see morgan get actually sick from those mcdonald's junkies. those dayum corporations - the urge for the $$$ instead of humanity. now, who can blame communists who thinks captialists should be demolished? ;-)
i'd love to own one of those wood.e elements for my future home. even though the material is mostly made out of wood, there is actually a metal sheet inside the wood giving you an access to electricity anywhere within the furniture. i just hope to find many new functional innovations for the future home. the only downside of this? you'd be rubbing with its electrical current and that could give your body a whack.
