snag this cheap deal before it's gone!!! i wish i can take this deal, but i seriously need to put this priority as the last one of all!
anyway, earlier yesterday, i was driving around and spotted a ford mustang with its door side labeled "stanford driving school" i see an acne-filled young male teenager anxiously driving this hot shot automobile. i guess in beverly hills, you would probably see a student driving a mercedes. it's a first for me to see a training hotshot car here. i take that the school has to pay high $$$ for the insurance, thus pushing the training fee up but then palo altoans can always afford them anyway. dot.com age has definitely pushed palo alto prominently on the map and it's kinda sad to see that my hometown has turned into a high-class town... i remember that the school used to have a toyota corolla!
i just flew into san francisco this AM. i'm visiting my folks before they take a big jumbo boeing flight to hk tomorrow. earlier in the plane, a lady sitting next to me looked like a mixture of ethnicities, but i was surprised to find that she was born in korea. anyway, it seems like my stay in nyc has been nothing but a visit instead of settling down. hopefully i'll get to settle down once i get back to nyc in two weeks later although i do have a few trip planned ahead for the next two months...
i don't remember if i have ever posted this before, but i had finally picked up my pictures of tibet and i was real disappointed to see that there weren't many good pictures there. it has been a few years since i took pictures on my MANUAL camera, thus i've been relying on those automatic cameras to do the settings for me.
i think my mind's not functioning properly as i didn't sleep at all last night as i had to catch subway to JFK at 430 am. (my flight was at 7am).
so nothing interesting sh*t to post here for now...

my friend's fighting to get this job... hopefully he'll win this case...
i'm back home now!
but then, i won't be home that long. i'll be going out of town soon next week for a long july 4th week. i can't say where exactly i am going this time!
anyway, the rock climbing trip was very enjoyable and i enjoyed meeting new peepos at red river gorge where we got to mingle around often and the peepos that i met come from different backgrounds. some are in grad school pursing for phds, some are stay-home moms, and one even went to three of 7 summits in the world. i have to say that the highlight of the trip was climbing outside in the pitch dark during the late twlight at an undisclosed crag. there was definitely no moon to be found. we had originally planned to climb 4 routes up, but we ended up climbing 3 routes before the sun could pop out. after climbing these routes with my only trustful headlamp, i feel that i can try to go back to these same routes and try to climb WITHOUT my headlamp! it would be like climbing inside a huge cave.
well, the lowlight of the trip was probably the bug bites. i must have gotten over 40 bug bites on my legs already. (fleas were on the loose in my TENT!) those bites were driving me nuts... at least, i didn't get bitten by the snakes or wasps which are more severe than those lame bites.
unfortunately, i didn't bring my digicam with me just BECAUSE i needed a break from taking pictures. speaking of pictures, i just picked up my pictures of tibet today. i haven't taken a peek at them yet! hope a few of them are very picturesque enough to be framed and hung on a wall.
anyway, i guess it's time for me to get back into real world, but it'll be temporary time for sure...
after slaving away on job projects, i'm off to kentucky today for a 5 day camping and rock climbing. i hope i don't get to encounter cooperheads, rattlesnakes, and hot wasps in this dense, humid, jungly red river gorge.

now, you ask why i posted this?
well, i just gulped the whole one pint of haagen-dazs' coffee ice cream in just like 15 minutes. so i've consumed 72g of fat (44 g of saturated fat). also in a couple of hours later, i had a large glass of mocha frappas. so it's now 3:38 am here and i'm feeling sugary around here.
but i gotta admit that i did MISS ice cream while in tibet, so it was such delightful to gulp down the frosty ice cream down my chute.

... to be back home in the brisk new york.
guess it'll take some time for me to get settled down here though it was such blissful time to be with my fiancee.
now, my parents are driving to here from toronto. once i'm done with the family gathering, they'll be hitting a long road trip to north carolina, and then cross country back to california. such an energetic full time travelin' couple even though they're almost 70 years old! they can never get tired of traveling.
can't wait to tickle my beloved fiancee
can't wait to chow down crif dogs
can't wait to dwell in my 2 fackable adobe
can't wait to absorb the glitzy, blinky neon rays
can't wait to imagine what their superfical plastic faces were like before
can't wait to mingle through nbr 6
well, you could say that i'm homesick in these days...
see you soon in nyc....
rr dead at 93.
as a pre-teenager, i've looked up him as a great president for that he has created the 80s that many peepos would like to forget:
who would have tawt about those cheezy parachute pants, those frontal 'high stick up' hairdo, MJ's infamous zipper jacket, et cetera...
in the meantime, i've been hanging out at this great coffeehouse called palo alto cafe for a few hours with free wifi internet access. i've been cleaning up my burstin' emailbox! i couldn't imagine that this cafe used to be a pharmacy back in my 80s days.
tomorrow, finally, i'll be off to my pad in nyc! it'd be interesting to shift my mind into high-gear speed there.
i just got back in the states yesterday, and now my blog system has been restored. while it's nice to be back in a civilization, i find myself somewhat missing the primitive environment of a nomad. is it because i am ready for the crazy chaos out in new york yet... but, i have found my inner enlightenment in tibet and my body has been cleansed and rinsed out. i guess i'm just not ready to rock the world yet. i truly find myself a kid because my energy is just dying out to drain out on me, and i am ready to get my body in shape after my arse has been glued to the cushion of the SUV for a month in china.
yesterday, i really had a nice father-son quality time when my dad and i went out to the city to run some errands and fed my dad about my tibetian tales. he still would love to visit tibet soon only if he can try to find a few travel partners to go with since my mom wouldn't survive in this basic, primitive condition in tibet. i hope that he'll get his chance to visit tibet soon.
