i'm back home in nyc after a week of bouldering down in the south.
but i'm not down.
my tibook is down after upgrading. @^&*#$@#!!! gotta have to take it to the apple store tomorrow!
i'm using my roommate's new modified tibook and it's quite NICE one.
away from blogging for a week as i'm heading down south to boulder in horse pens 40.
have a great gobblin' week.
recently, my gf just got a page saying that her eldest sister, karen, just got into labor, so she had to rush and hail for a cab to the penn station to catch a train to long island. best of luck, karen!!!
once in a while, i've had a few people bug me the update of wtc's development status. i took the liberty of finding this site for you:
check out the slide presentation by studio daniel libeskind. being an architectural connoisseur myself, i do truly find this architecture to be very aesthestic and inspiring. i just love the idea of how this chosen plan include open space as nothing will ever replace the loss of original wtc. there's only one downside. the freedom tower somewhat looks similar to bank of china's building in hong kong. i just wish it could have looked more demiurgic because nyc has its own identity from other power cities. anyway, it seems like the path terminal (trains between nyc and nj) in the wtc site will be completed in summer 2004 if everything is going smooth. i guess the whole development of the site will be done by 2008ish.
I think this problem must be disscussed in offline. Or ICQ....
congratulations to barry bonds for winning the NL MVP's for three years in a row, something no one has done in the major league baseball history as well as his sixth MVP award. no one even got six MVP awards.
so, barry, guess you've finally won many enemies' hearts now. now, two more things left on your agenda. get a dayum world series ring and get your named etched to cooperstown's wall.
you know that technology has become a norm for the society when you see a garbageman throwing heavy loads of bags into a garbage truck from the sidewalk while he's yapping away on his cell phone!
to mickey mouse who is 75 now.
it's sad that he's merely a cartoon who has changed from a simplistic, linear cartoon to vivid, modernized looks and he'll probably look very futuristic, sleek character in 75 years later.
i have constant pain in my hip and shoulder. when i raise my left leg, i get the sharp pain in my left hip. i can't even raise my left leg as high as i can with my right leg. when i put my left arm up, i get the pain on the shoulder blade. this all started when i was climbing at a gym last thursday. i hope that they'll be healed before my big bouldering trip to georgia and alabama for turkey week!
it ain't fun to do nothing but rest. perhaps i should spend countless hours of web surfing this week and stare at these silicones titties.
I like it very much, i should get one site like this too
wonder if these ex-employees are part of anti-corporatism movement?
earlier today, i was waiting for a friend to meet me at a lobby in the MET LIFE building next to grand central. in the lobby, during the rush hour, i see many expressionless people pacing past me. i'm wearing an orange tee with a red baseball hat. as i was glancing through many passerbys, i see many of their coats have same dark colors - black, blue, black, black, blue, brown, brown, black, blue, and so on... wtf??? why are they so one-dimensional about their coats? is it because of corporations' attire policy to wear conservative, proper coats? i thought that new york was all about diversity and liberal. like i said earlier in my blog, i wonder if they're being programmed to wear stodgy colors to work. i know that a coat can reflect your personality. i have a few different coats. i have a yellow/grey, red/black, and whole navy blue. maybe i'm just being anal about the coats... i guess i was waiting in the lobby for too long and got hallucinated by watching these blurry passerbys... even my friend was wearing a brown coat, too. wudn't it be neat to see one person wearing a lime green trenchcoat? that would definitely stop all the traffic!
i've updated my portfolio:

i feel sorry for social workers...
earlier today i entered into a laundromat, and i see the laundromat owner's jack terrier barking at me, and then i realize she was actually yapping at the mailwoman behind me. i've gone to that laundromat numerous times, and i don't even see her howling at any of the customers. so what's with the special relationship between dogs and mailpeople. i wonder if it's all in the genes of a dog's family as to chase down these mailpeepos. i wonder if it has nothing to do with them, but only they carry the letters that dogs like to yip at. i hope that one day i can ask a mailman to let me borrow his work uniform and see if that dog will even bark at me while delivering the mail for her owner. if that's the case, then they do hate either the uniforms OR the mail they are bringing.
i'm feeling soooo uninspired lately.
care to inspire me right now?

taken at a friend's friend's place in theater district area.
friday:

halloween parade in greenwich village. it was soooo intensely PAAACCKKKED there! check its website: http://www.halloween-nyc.com/
also bumped into this cool costume at the parade:

it's a great place where you can see many creative costumes such as roy getting attacked by a baby tiger, a captain uniform with a half-cut boat in the front with a red siren on it - the catch? "Staten Island" being imprinted on the boat.
saturday:
took guests out to chinatown and ground zero and hung out in noho with friends. still halloween festive mood going on...
sunday:
full of crowds today at 1st ave for NYC's marathon! (congratulations, jess, with a 4:27 on your finish!)
giants-jets party at a friend's place - very tight game with like a minute left in OT with a GW field goal by conway after he missed a 39-yarder in the early OT.
finally took a long nap.
that's how a halloween weekend is supposed to be...
oh yeah one more thing, i ended up being a lame rock climber for halloween, and everyone thought that i just got back in the city from rock climbing instead of taking me as a rock climber for the halloween. guess everyone knows that i'm a hardcore climber in these days...
