feeling of an om

aura floats
in my precious world

endlessly
magical spirit

fluttering dull
grasping for passion

cherishing
flames of memories

my darling
full of gleaming sparks

Arggggghh!!!

I just got home from a day bouldering trip at the Gunks (Near New Paltz, NY).

Two things to throw down here:

I wish I brought my digicam with me. The foliage there were changing their colors. Absolutely stunning scenery everywhere you step on at the Mohonk Preserve Park. Hope they still stay the same if I can make myself another trip to the Gunks soon.

I stayed with one WHOLE bouldering problem, "The Buddha." for the whole day. I was that friggin' close to sending this mofo up as I was only like an inch or a couple from completing the crux move. Then, my energy just completely drained out of me! (I even had to make a couple of stops on the highway as I was dozing off). I will definitely send this mofo up on my next go!

San Francisco in New York

Earlier tonight, I was in Brooklyn taking a stroll around the area of Park Slope with Susie. We happened to see a cool hip mexican restaurant called La Taqueria which gives me a reminiscence of mission district's restaurants in san francisco. Such full of vibrant, colorful characteristics inside the restaurant give great parallel environment of one of mission district's local mexican cafes. I will definitely head back to this place whenever I have the urge to get into San Francisco's vibe. Susie ordered a burrito that resembles the size of a huge red brick that she was only able to chow down a half portion of it. So if you happen to be in the area of Park Slope, check this restaurant. Also it even has another one that serves 'fast food' only next door. Support this local restaurant instead of the chain ones, Baja Fresh or Chipotle. Its location is on 7th Ave. and Berkeley St. Oh yeah one more thing, if you happen to own a California driver license, La Taqueira will even give you a free marganita on Wednesdays evenings.

A seat guru?

Imagine yourself going inside of a plane and you find yourself trying to figure out which seat is the best for a long flight trip? Well, there's a great website that gives you insightful information on which seat is best as well as bad ones, too!

http://www.seatguru.com

There're even bad seats in a first class section! I ain't too surprised because I've been assigned with some bad first-class seats before such as no room for me to put my carry-on bag or the limited reclination due to the wall behind the seats, etc.

I wonder if I do need a vacation here as I'm bringing this seating issue up here even though I've been on a vacation for more than a year?

Gunks flappers

I just got back home from the Gunks (that's a short name for Shawangunks) in New Paltz, NY where I went bouldering for two days. I haven't cranked hard for a while and this was the case where my fingers got many flappers as well as full of aching, sore body especially on my chest, forearms, and abs from squeezing my body often. I'm trying to get in shape for my 'projects' at Horse Pens 40 sloper-boulder fest in Alabama for Thanksgiving weekend. Ahh... I gonna be a Macaulay Culkin this weekend as my roommate's gone out of town for the long weekend! Party Time!!! On the second thought, I think I'll just hire many masseuses to do the bodywork on my aching muscles for the long weekend!

FINALLY!

After a long atrocious wait, I finally got my MTA's reduced fare card. I was supposed to get this card within 6 to 8 weeks, but it turns out that I got it after 13 weeks! I did call the MTA about it, and they were saying that it was on the way. I hate when you have a company mislead you. I definitely admire any company who has a honest customer service. It's hard to find one in these days because they are so finanically driven greedy.

DC

just got back home from dc just a few hours ago...

my ex-neighbor, alim, was gonna move his things out of his apartment to DC and said that he would return the next day to return the rental van. so i tagged along for a free ride with him to DC for a day. there in dc, i went to the gallaudet university campus to check out its new student academic center. it seems like many new student centers are popping in the universities across the nation lately. anyway, after taking a few pictures of the campus for my client, i went out to a local bouldering spot with a local friend in MD. the rock may look chossy, but it was good enough to give me some nice workout though those sharp rock did shred my fingers. afterwards, went out to my friend's place to chill out and eat dinner. nothing special here in dc, but for you DC fellas, sorry if i didn't contact you that i was in town. i was only in and out for just a day and wudn't have had the time to see you y'all. i hope that i can visit DC for a weekend sometimes soon but then somehow i get the feeling that i won't be visiting DC for a while. i'm not sure why... it could be that the nation's capital surrounding kinda turns me off. (with exception of deafies of course) maybe it's just that DC is just full of crap from what i've seen compared to other cities. despite its rich historical places, dc has to be one of the most platitudinous cities i've ever seen. i think it's just because the city thinks of FACTS only with politics aside. i think DC definitely needs frank gehrism/jackson pollackism flavor.
