dang, i wish i was in middle school with this kind of sex education:
now, it'd be nice to get a head from this teacher i used to have a crush back in my old days.
i wish i have my digicam operating because there's this such spectatular view of chicago skyline from the north ave. beach as the radiant sun reflects upon the delicate yet beautiful cracks of ice along lake michigan. i wish i have a job right so i could get a nice b/w film to shoot this picture. you don't see like this often in chicago.
anyway, on the other side, i finally got my toy back and it's in such great condition. i truly missed my toy very much, but not as much as i miss suz already.
has any of you had bi bip bop for lunch? if not, order it someday from a korean restaurant. i hope i got the dish's name correctly. i don't remember if it is bi bee bop. you just gotta admire some of asian dialects! op a ot ta og her.
i finally got to see a 'hand/finger' doctor this early pm. after the x-ray, my doc said that my baby finger has a partially ligament tear though he said that i could resume my activities, even climbing, too. all i have to do is just tape my baby finger to another finger to support it and it will take about 6-9 months for my ligament to heal fully. that's a friggin' long time and i will probably get into endurance boulder training and stick off the power/crimps training for a while.
with this media f*cking with us, here's a great site for you to follow the news:
i gotta love this article in that site about a group giving a lawsuit against bush on the war declaration. also i read somewhere in the web that according to u.s.a's original essential historical document, declaration of independence (or it cud be constitution, i don't remember) it stated that the country can only get into a war for SELF-DEFENSE only. being threatened doesn't do much for me and in the 'show' of _puppetry of the penis_ this australian dude placed an antiquated frame over his naked crotch area and declared this artwork as "Bush" which i found it to be hilarious for that he's being a dickhead.

A man who chases women and never Mrs. one.

watch this excellent, raw movie that suz and i watched earlier tonight.
too busy to get into details!
it's that worth writing a blog about this movie!
happy valentine's day! you see many stores trying to get some quick cash on v-day stuff... so why buy 'em when you could have bought other things in any given 364 days?
watched _survivor_ at a deaf friend's place where we all the deafies watched every christy's move. i was kinda disappointed to see christy bawling on the first night. i thought she should have known better that she was gonna face a huge communication barrier with these seven ladies. i have to admit that she did let me down, but i was just HAPPY to survive the first tribal council as the female group received an immunity from the challenge game. now, i'm hoping that she can make through the 2nd tribal voting.
afterwards, i had a nice dinner with my ex-staffs from my bouldering gym. it was thoughtful of them to provide a farewell dinner for me. we had dinner at twisted spoke and guess whom i bumped onto there? jorge from my old college! it was nice to see him and caught up all the old news about our old friends.
so it was nice to go out after being a movie freak for a while, but sadly, i've still rented two movies today and plan to watch one of 'em tonight. one's action, prolly a bloody one as one's called _our lady the assassins_ and another's a comedy from france called _taste of others_
taking a break from bloody week, i'm gonna watch _survivor_ just because i'm pulling for this deaf gal, christy, and my high school alumni, shawna, to get into final 4 survivor. hard to believe that two peepos from the show can be associated with me. kick some ass, christy and shawna!
i was just surfing through the tv and just instantly, _pulp fiction_ was about to start on HBO! so i just watched the dayum long flick after the _amores perros_ last night. what's next? _el mariach_?? seems like it's a blood-spattered week for me, so watch out for a crazy mothafucka chinese psycho being on the loose!
i think i'm catching a bug for foreign films - i've signed for a membership with this independent movie rental place just few stores away from here. it is loaded with many foreign movies and i've watched two tonight already. _taboo_ and _amores perros_. i'm sure that i'll be trying to catch up all the foreign movies as much as i can before i get dragged into a real world.
_taboo_ filmed in japan is about ancient samurai militia. i am not sure how to describe it, but from the way i see it, it's about this young dude who has the 'woman's face' that would attract a few soldiers and has caused some exasperations in a samurai's school. for some reason, the dvd case described about the militia recruiting a woman unbeknown to the senior samurai officers, but the movie doesn't even give away about his sexual orientation. i wonder if the country of japan referred gays as 'women' at the movie's setting (it was taken in around 1860s) i think the point of the movie was this young samurai causing big stir in the school and finally one senior officer realized what he was doing that he wished to kill him as he just swiped a beautiful young cherry tree which would probably represent this 'beautiful' young samurai in the end of the movie. i probably don't even recommend this cheesy movie to anyone.
_amores perros_ definitely made my night out after watching _taboo_ because i love raw, realstic quality like this one. this film definitely would make good conversations among PETA members because it includes BOTH positive and negative images on canines in the movie. the filmmaking is somewhat parallel to the likes of _traffic_ or _pulp fiction_ and i just love on how the director inarritu put these three brief 'films' interconnected on this one mothafucka long movie. i believe that this movie could have editted better, but its wonderful plot and visual style will just keep you glued to this flick (with exception to the second series of the movie which is somewhat too inferior to other two stories). i truly believe that this film says it all about raw life with dogs. i don't typically mean like your daily dose of life with a dog like taking a dog out for a walk or seeing a dog being hit by a car. what i'm talking about is the extreme reality of what you don't normally see. i'd like to see myself being compared to this homeless bum character who finally becomes liberated from a fucked up society through an unimaginable yet illegal job. so if you have three hours to spare, get your arse over to a flick store and rent this bad ass movie.
last night, i rented a foreign movie called _audition_. this movie definitely stimulated my jet-lagged mind. i don't want to give it away, but this movie is definitely recommended ONLY for peepos who have sturdy stomaches. i don't even think suz could handle it. go and rent it NOW! it's being directed by a radical japanese takashi miike. also i am starting to fall in love with the movie's actress, eihi shiine, literally.
as my blood roots originated from farmlands of ancient china, i'd like to wish you, "kung hai fat choy," as the year of the ram has come. i've immensely enjoyed celebrating chinese new year's every year as i always get a few red envelopes from my folks, relatives, or elders. for instance, during on the cruise, i got a few triple digit bills from the old fart group. i guess i just joined this group in such a perfect timing where these old farts just love to spoil kids with their pensions. sometimes it's such a bliss to be a chinese ;-)
this is one of my fave pictures during my south america trip before my digicam went dead on me.

this was taken in lapa district in rio de janeiro, brazil at late night.
now, i'm back to big apple. the south america trip has been an interesting trip yet i was somewhat stuck with a sightseeing tour group for the most of the trip. i already knew that i won't be that independent traveler when i joined this group, but it was nice to get a glimpse free preview of what south america has to offer. i will definitely make my own trip to chile and argentina someday soon as there is so much adventures to do out there. south america is definitely a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts like me.
also on a note about joining old farts group, you're bounded to gain some weight as these old farts paid lots of $$$ for many 'strenuous' rides to the attractions instead of hiking or walking. if i came to these remote attractions alone, i'd gone for a hike or walk because of my age. luckily, the ship has her own gym so i was able to maintain some weight and the ship definitely has great food daily and i did try to gobble up all the food as much as i can while burning calories as much as i can, too!!!
anyway, i'll be flying back to chicago this wednesday and i do feel refreshed to go job hunting! wish me a good luck!
