this weekend was definitely 'friends' hangout weekend.
friday: suz and i went out to dine at basil thai with two friends and a few visiting peepos from denmark. afterwards, we proceeded to check out a few gay bars with them as susie wanted to know the true gay socialization there.
saturday: in the early afternoon, we hung out at bittersweet cafe in fillmore area to hang out with k. hill and her beau, soren. we chatted, chatted, chatted for a few hours before realizing that outside has gone dark. afterwards, suz and i dined alone at a local tapas restaurant in mission district before celebrating two friends' birthdays at medjool's bar. there we mingled, drank, and partied till 2 am.
sunday: the usual rest day... but no, we had a nice long dim sum with my ol' high school buddies near our new home as we finally caught up with them. now, susie's painting in the bathroom while i'm blogging here. *slaps my face* now, i have to go and help her out!
yep, it has been nice to go out after being inside for the whole week remodeling... now, back to painting and blah blah blah...
Posted by gamma888 at February 12, 2006 05:33 PMYou were at Medjool? That's funny ... we were right next door at Foreign Cinema for dinner from 10:30 to 12:30.
Good to see you!

Posted by: gabe on February 13, 2006 03:05 AMmy friend sabrina did the art work for bittersweet cafe and i helped with scanning her infamous handwriting style for some words on the cafe's website. i've never been to this place yet so that's on my list next time i'm in the city!
btw, whatever happened to those carcass pictures? i was wondering what the hell they were...care to reveal? :)
bittersweet's a nice cafe to hang out, but its hot chocolate isn't as good as marie belle's in nyc! you'd dig this spot.
anyway, the server lost some of my fresh images and i'm just too lazy to go to PS and reduce those photos... so for any of you who saw the pictures of skeleton that i took... it's actually a baby elephant seal carcass.
