i am in frankfurt, germany now. even though today is monday the 26th, all the shops and restaurants are CLOSED. a few cafes are only open so i was able to do some people watching from there. there are awfully manz families taking a stroll around, unfortunately, the shops are closed unlike america. i think i flew to frankfurt at wrong time because i wasnt able to find friends around here as theyve gone to their families' homes for the holidays! but i got to see some beautiful landmarks. also, i can't believe that i actually found this spot where i used to play around with my parents back in the early 1980s when we visited it on the way to yugoslavia. well, since everything is closed today, i think i will catch up my sleep early tonight.
Posted by gamma888 at December 26, 2005 06:34 AMif you're going through or near Bavaria, be sure to check out Rothenburg along the route "ROmance Road". lovely city and if I recall the city correctly, I think it has Museum of Crime, central europe's most comprehensive museum on nearly 1,000 years of stuff. went there in '96 - had a blast.
enjoy your time in Deustchland.
