this was still in a cocoon as someone haven't opened it yet:

my reaction: once susie and i got through central park via a public bus to west side from east side for the first time, i didn't even get inspired much by this sight. it was just merely a little sensation in my body once it brought me memories of my travelin' days in china where you'd see MANY beams like these christos' gates, but this time the chinese beams were decorated with many different landscapes on the top. if i recall correctly, there were like at least 10,000 wooden beams under one area somewhere in china. if i can try to find a picture of this and compare with christos' gates, i would find many intriguing comparsions between them. but nevertheless, i think i might go to central park again and find a high, towering ideal spot to view the central park's massive area.. (belvedere castle, perhaps?)
oh btw, i got a temporary job with the gates' project. i'll be working as a monitor for them for a week starting tomorrow. so if any of you ever get to central park and need some questions about the gates, feel free to find a monitor there and ask her/him to retrieve me and i can try to answer your questions about the gates' project...
