sick of my travel blogs?

i just flew into san francisco this AM. i'm visiting my folks before they take a big jumbo boeing flight to hk tomorrow. earlier in the plane, a lady sitting next to me looked like a mixture of ethnicities, but i was surprised to find that she was born in korea. anyway, it seems like my stay in nyc has been nothing but a visit instead of settling down. hopefully i'll get to settle down once i get back to nyc in two weeks later although i do have a few trip planned ahead for the next two months...

i don't remember if i have ever posted this before, but i had finally picked up my pictures of tibet and i was real disappointed to see that there weren't many good pictures there. it has been a few years since i took pictures on my MANUAL camera, thus i've been relying on those automatic cameras to do the settings for me.

i think my mind's not functioning properly as i didn't sleep at all last night as i had to catch subway to JFK at 430 am. (my flight was at 7am).

so nothing interesting sh*t to post here for now...

Hey Gabe ...

It a pity about your photos of Tibet that doesn't look good. Never trust the automatic camera to do your dirty works. It true that once you pit away the camera for long time, esp. with the manual SLR camera, we tend to forget it easily. Continue to do manual photography as a way to study subjects, not as a tourist, as an artist.

From the experiences semi-artist photographer (not yet commerical photographer)

re: multiracial woman from korea. i wonder how old she is. during the korean war with the americans, french, etc soliders around, there were a high number of half korean half white babies born. but they were shunned by the pure koreans. i wonder if the woman is a byproduct of couple generations ...
