ok... here's the thing:
a family friend whom i've known since my birth is visiting here in nyc for a friend's wedding. earlier a few days ago, i was just asking him if he was attending this particular couple's wedding, and he was like somewhat astonished to know their couples' names. i had known that my roommate's sister was getting married this weekend, and i thought that now that her residence is in california and with my family flying from there, i thought it wouldn't hurt the chance of asking my friend if he was going to their wedding! so it turns out that his girlfriend works together with my roommate's sister and my friend is playing on the same softball as my roommate's sister! i hope you're following what i just said! i find this a rare small world because in a deaf community, small world thing is so common. but my family friend and my roommate's sister are hearing. anyway, so i took my friend and his gf out to chinatown and little italy. we had a nice lunch at lombardi's pizza, one of the first pizza's restaurants in nyc (i believe it was established in the late 1800s). they haven't gone to nyc before so it was kinda fun to see their bewildered faces esp. in east village where my friend took many pictures of some wacky places and people. yeah, i kinda felt little embarrassed to hang out with an obvious tourist.
